Summertime Southwestern Steak Marinade & Cilantro Tequila Vinaigrette

Summertime Southwestern Steak Marinade

1 Bunch Chopped Cilantro

3 Minced Cloves Garlic

1 Thinly Shaved Shallot

1 Minced Jalapeno (Remove seeds to lower the spice level)

1/3 Cup Red Wine Vinegar

2/3 Cup Neutral Oil

1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper

1 tsp Ground Cumin

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Black Pepper

Chop, mince and shave all necessary dry ingredients. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour over steak and let sit in fridge for 2-4 hours. Wipe off all chunks before cooking to keep from burning.


Cilantro Tequila Vinaigrette

Yield 1 Quart

1 Cup Tequila

1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

2 TBSP Honey

1 Bunch Cilantro Washed & Stems Trimmed

2 Cups Neutral Oil

1 TBSP Salt

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend until cilantro is just blended then slowly add in oil.  Don’t blend to long to keep it green. Helps if you put your blender container in the freezer prior to making.
